Love the greeters and their happy attitude. Usually a clean place and employees are happy to help. Have had a few issues with employees, but they are small, and issues handled quickly.
I was stuck her for a LONG time the other day. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. Good selection. They've really stepped their jewelry and clothing game up the past few years.
Sir, if you are reading this review, please know that you do a PHENOMENAL job, you are fabulous at what you do. Keep doing it!!!!!! The kindness you show people is one of a kind and it takes a superhero to do that all day, everyday. Your people skills are out of this world and I hope other people see it as much as I do. It's a Walmart. Clean enough, but hard to find help sometimes. I do enjoy the pickup option they provide, it's a very handy.
Then, I went by the party supplies. I was seeing what kind of balloons I'd be able to get...I noticed some Halloween balloons blown up by the registers..but no birthday ones. So I asked a group of register type managers about the birthday balloons. This is what I found very odd...the told me to get a balloon I need to go back to the auto department to get one. That doesn't even make since. So in the long run... I will probably be getting my balloons somewhere else.
After a terrible experience at my Hometown store (Ottawa, KS) I called this location on my way to the city for a funeral. All I needed was 4 tires balanced. The associates in the Automotive dept were fantastic! The department manager listened to my frustration with the previous store and was more than helpful in righting what the Ottawa store couldn't (aka didnt have time to deal with). As I waited for my tires to be completed, I grabbed a bite to eat at Subway in store. The young man behind the counter was alone and had a line of people waiting. He was graceful and calm and even though he looked a little frazzled, was still SUPER polite. As I ate my sandwich near the front door of the store, I had the pleasure of watching a gentleman door greeter welcome and send off customers. I think this guy was the highlight of my visit. He greeted and dismissed everyone in such a friendly way, taking the time to joke around and make conversation, even high five with several customers and other associates. The gentleman I am referring to, I believe his name was TONY. He was wearing a yellow cape working the grocery side entrance on Sunday,Aug 6 around 3:00pm.
I'm in the process of planning my dad's 80th birthday party. So, I went to Walmart to order the cake. To be honest a lady helped me...and I'm sure she did the best she could. But her handwriting on the order slip was so messy with lots of scribbles that I'll probably be calling up there tomorrow when I was told that the actual cake decorator would be there...to confirm my order. I was really happy that she offer/let me taste both the whipped and butter cream frostings. (the whipped really did not taste good).
