Worst legal experience ever. Had to travel from VA to KS three times within a few months timeframe. Ex lied on court documents and admitted on the stand he lied to the Commanding General of the military installation I was at, saying I neglected my children and was fraudulently enlisted, which was his grounds for trying to take my son away. He got caught red handed for perjury. But there was no punishment for him what so ever. Not even making him pay legal fees and/or travel and lodging, when I was a single mother of 2 and only making wages of a Private in the Army. (After some research I found that is usually how most courts punish liars in family law. Very rare perjury is taken seriously in the court system.) Then I was supposed to deploy. Dad decided it was a good time to start messing with me again. When I didn't deploy because of this he refused to return my son. The court refused to enforce the parenting plan they approved, which stated upon my return my son was to be given back. This is just the tip of the Iceberg...Family Court in KS is a monetary scam...
Horrible experience with a bunch of rednecks playing law on their spare time.
Their so corrupt, they only care about convictions and there happy to split familys up to get them. It's sad it's come to this in Kansas. I can see why people are moving out of the state left and right.
We live in a fascist police state you serve your sentence before your trial, its all puppet show
I don't need court often! But when I do, please let them know I gave them a 5.
